Our Homes

Welcome to our home!  We are the Jackson's, and I'm so glad you are visiting our blog.
(That's our house, with the great big trees out front.)

I am going to gradually provide you a tour of our home.  I have started this blog as I am organizing various aspects of my home.  Each project that I complete I will share with you some before and after pictures, and pictures of the rooms.  One day there will be an awesome house tour.

Here is our house from the front.

C'mon inside!  I'll show you around.

Here was our living room a couple of weeks ago before we painted it.  The walls were this colour for 11 years.  Such a pale shade of beige it was almost white.  ( On the chair is one of our pets - the black and white cat named Amber)

Then we decided it was time for a change.  Time to add some colour.  Here is a picture of our living room, which we just painted last week.

Here was the accent wall.  Notice the Starbucks type colours we selected - like a coffee shop.

Here is our kitchen.  We plan to re-paint this area, as it does need updating, but I must confess I am very slow to change this kitchen.  While the wall paper border might be a bit dated, it really is a perfect match to the kitchen counter.  The whole kitchen is white with green, and the contrasts are nicely balanced.  I will wait until we have the plan "just so" before we change this up.

Here is the eating area.  We have an eat-in-kitchen.
